Birch City - Where is it?

Birch city is an existing city in  North-East Hungary, The Great Plain. It was mentioned in the mod Tower Of Raiders as the origin of John Lakatos and his family. ("I'm from Birch city, Hungary"- John Lakatos, Tower of Raiders)
I'm doing this post for the qurious people, who wonder about that.
The real name of the city is Nyíregyháza (Hungarian: "Chirch of Birch"), also the original name of the city was Nyír (Hungarian: "Birch"), and it is in the center of the Nyírség (Birch area).
